Welcome to a whole new approach to learning! We are a wife and husband team who feel that learning is most effective when it captures a child's imagination and harnesses that energy to teach skills that will be useful in a variety of subjects.
Mark Eastburn met Yamilka Hidalgo while he was working as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Panama. Since marrying and returning to the U.S., he has taught Spanish to elementary school children for the past six years in a prestigious New Jersey school district. He has a B.A. in Biology from St. Mary's College of Maryland and has been in a constant search to find new ways of integrating science, social studies, cultural knowlede, and math education into his classes. Many of the projects that are available on this website were inspired by his most successful projects in getting children excited about learning Spanish. He has had two articles published in Learning Languages, the National Network for Early Language Learning's journal. Mark has also recently completed the first book in a projected series of child-oriented science-fiction novels.
All of the products that are offered through this site have been developed by looking at the interests of today's children and then designing materials that will build on this enthusiam and motivate learning based on National Education Standards.

Orders will be processed and shipped within seven business days of receipt of payment. We will send a receipt of payment via email as soon as your order arrives.
Refund, Returns and Cancellation Policies:
Please review materials immediately upon their arrival. If you are unsatisfied with the materials, please notify us immediately and return the items at the listed address. When we receive the returned items, we will refund the purchase price via check within seven days. Please note that this refund will not include shipping and handling charges.
Deposits for Friends with Scales programs and Dragons and Dinos Parties are fully refundable until one week prior to the scheduled program. After that time, refunds for deposits cannot be given due to the amount of preparation required for each show and the high demand for shows that could have been scheduled during your reserved time.

Are lesson plans included with your materials?
Every product that we offer includes a variety of activities and lesson ideas that will connect the content to national standards and education across different curricula. We feel that detailed lesson plans can be a little too rigid and may not always conform to the format and standards of a particular school district, therefore we allow teachers to take our ideas and write them into their own lesson plans.
Are there reproducible materials with the products that you sell?
All of the materials that we have developed have been copyrighted, but we do allow all of our black and white coloring sheets to be reproduced for educational purposes when they will be distributed to your students. We do not allow reproduction of these materials for commercial purposes or for distribution outside of the classroom(s) where you teach because we would like to continue to offer new and exciting products for many years to come, and we cannot do so if our materials are distributed freely among other educators. We have tried to keep our prices very reasonable, and we ask that you refer any teachers that are interested in our materials to our website.
Where did you get your ideas from?
Many of our product ideas have come through our experiences as educators and observations of our own children. We are always open to new ideas and are happy to help fellow teachers get their ideas in print. Of course, we will always give full credit and compensation for any idea that is developed with us!
